Job Description : Freight Forwarding Operations Clerk

Profile

We are looking for experience with the following skills:

  • Execution & co-ordination of international and domestic shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Communicate with carriers, agents, and clients to schedule shipments, provide updates, and address any issues that may arise.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, customs documentation, and other relevant paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance standards Including USA.
  • Monitor shipment status, track cargo movements, and provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve operational and logistical challenges that may arise during the transportation process.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and related documentation in the nominated systems.
  • Support the Freight Forwarding team with administrative tasks, data entry, and reporting as needed.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance job-related skills and knowledge.

 

Other relevant skills:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, is essential with a minimum of 5 years.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications and software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of international shipping practices, customs procedures, and trade regulations is advantageous.
